BIO-IDENTICAL HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY

  • by

Hormonal decline is not only an aspect of aging, but can also be a symptom of living in a toxic world. BHRT uses hormones in their natural form and allows us to adjust doses that are customized for each individual to reach optimal hormone balance.

With over 15 years of experience with hormone replacement and practicing integrative medicine, we have developed our individualized “Hormones & Beyond” program.

Our doctors teach patients about their hormone options to help empower them to make decisions that meet their goals. Once carefully developing and starting you on an individualized hormone replacement therapy plan, your doctor will know how you respond to the various hormones and doses and help determine the best plan for you. We can prescribe creams, sublingual lozenges/troches, and capsule forms. We do not offer testosterone pellet therapy or injections. Once you have started hormone therapy with us, we will be able to determine if pellets or injections may be right for you and can make a referral to a practitioner for these services.

We believe it is important for you to understand any hormone replacement plan before starting, and this is why we emphasize education. We take time to answer your questions about hormone replacement and so you can understand your options, and understand the potential benefits and risks to them.

Hormone Replacement Therapy Considerations

  • How safe are the hormones for me?
  • What are the options and benefits/risks of the various options?
  • How are hormone levels regulated and how might I respond to high and low levels?
  • What are the right levels for hormones and how do I know I have them?
  • Is there a difference between optimal levels and supra-physiologic levels and what does this mean?
  • How do I know what type of therapy is the best choice for me?
  • What exactly is being given to me?
  • What are the effects of different forms of therapy (e.g. creams, lozenges, capsules, pellets, injections)?
  • What if there is a problem with a form of therapy?
  • What if I don’t feel right or experience side effects?
  • What is the difference between compounded and pharmaceutical hormones?
  • What is the difference between natural and synthetic hormones?
